The Executive Chairman of Itire–Ikate LCDA, Hon. Oluwafemi Daniel Odunayo, today joined colleagues, family members, and associates of the late Comrade Oduntan Waheed, the immediate past NULGE Branch Chairman, Coker–Aguda LCDA, at the 8th-Day Fidau Prayers held in his honour at the Itire–Ikate LCDA Secretariat, Airways Road, Ijesha.
The solemn event brought together a distinguished gathering, including the Executive Chairman of Coker–Aguda LCDA, Hon. Azeez Ogidan; members of the Legislative Councils of both Coker–Aguda and Itire–Ikate LCDAs; management teams; and NULGE executives from both councils. Together, they offered prayers and paid their final respects to a man remembered for his dedication to service, humility, and unwavering commitment to the growth of local government administration.
Also in attendance were the Vice Chairman of Itire–Ikate LCDA, Hon. Yetunde Jimba; the President of NULGE Lagos State, Comrade Sunday Sewanu Ogunfowora; members of the State Executive Committee; as well as friends, colleagues, and well-wishers who turned out in large numbers to celebrate the life and legacy of the late unionist.
Until his passing, Comrade Oduntan Waheed served meritoriously as NULGE Branch Chairman, Coker–Aguda LCDA, a member of Conference 58, and a State Executive Council (SEC) member of NULGE. He was widely admired for his humility, sense of duty, and steadfast dedication to the welfare and progress of local government workers.
